Track your progress

Understand the Social Wordle leaderboard

The Scores page has three views of progress. They answer different questions, so a player can lead one ranking without leading the others. Switch between global and group tabs to compare with everyone or with a smaller set of friends.

Current streak

Current streak shows how many consecutive daily puzzles you have won recently. It is the most useful view if your goal is to build a habit of returning each day. Play before the daily puzzle changes, and prioritize solving reliably over chasing a perfect first guess.

Best streak

Best streak records your longest run of daily wins. It remains a useful personal milestone even when your current streak starts over. Comparing the two can show whether you are getting more consistent over time.

Battle score

Battle score comes from head-to-head games and is separate from the daily puzzle streaks. The battle ranking shows recent performance, so it can move differently from the two streak tables.

A practical way to improve

Use opening guesses with different common letters to gather information. Before submitting another guess, check every green and yellow clue against the word you plan to enter. If a puzzle is difficult, focus on completing it within six attempts; a steady run matters more to the streak table than one unusually fast solve.

After playing, look at friends' completed games in the feed. Discussing a challenging pattern can be more useful than copying someone else's starting word.
